MOMMY/DADDY & ME (18 mos. – 2 1/2 yrs)
An introduction to creative movement, fitness and fun with an introduction to dance. This class helps the child develop self confidence, self esteem, coordination and socialization which are the basis for a healthy life style. The class is 45 minutes long and the amount of students is kept to a minimum.

WORLD CLASS TINY TOTS (2 1/2 – 3 yrs)
This is a wonderful introduction to ballet basics and creative movement helping the child develop coordination, balance and flexibility. It also helps in learning to socialize and build friendships by participating in a group atmosphere.

PRIMARY I (3 year olds)
This class is an introduction to ballet, creative movements and dance techniques. It develops rhythm, coordination, balance and flexibility. The class is 45 minutes long and is kept to a minimum amount of students.

PRIMARY II (4 year olds)
This is a combination class consisting of 1/2 hour of ballet and 1/2 hour of tap. The students learn very basic ballet terminology and technique including barre, center floor and basic ballet positions. The child will also learn rhythm and musicalitiy through basic tap steps and techniques. This class will perform in the recital.

This class is 1/2 hour of ballet and 1/2 hour of tap with emphasis on preparing the student for a more advanced dance education. The child will learn ballet terminology and technique including barre, center floor and progressions (across the floor). In the tap portion of the class the student will learn how to count music, develop rhythm and learn proper execution of basic tap techniques.

BALLET (6 years & up)
Ballet is the foundation for all dance forms and develops grace and poise. Classes consist of barre exercises, center floor, adagio, allegro, progressions and character dance. Terminology and technical execution are focused. The various technique methods include Cecchetti and Vaganova.

Pointe is a continuation of ballet for the experienced and advanced student. This class is offered by teacher recommendation only.

Jazz is a free style of dance in which technique is taught to modern, upbeat music. Classes consist of barre warm-ups, center floor and isolation exercises that builds strength. Down the floor progressions, leaps and turns are incorporated into dance combinations.

Tap is a rhythmical, audible dance form which turns feet into a musical instrument. Styles include “Broadway”, with precise feet and arm placement and “Hoofin”, with intricate rhythms and speed. Tap builds timing, rhythm, musicality, coordination and quick thinking.

Acro is a class consisting of exercise and tumbling to enhance body control, coordination, strength, flexibility and balance. Students are taught cartwheels, forward rolls, walkovers, handsprings, etc. utilizing special equipment for training.

A fun class featuring the latest and hottest genre of dance with a strong foundation in jazz. The class consists of stretching, jazz warm-ups, isolations and strength isolations with street and funk style dance combinations including the most innovative Hip Hop choreography.

Lyrical is a fluid form of dance which combines ballet and jazz. This field of dance requires ballet training. The class consists of center floor, barre warm-ups, extensions, leaps, turns and progressions. Students will focus on technique, balance, extension and control while expressing oneself to the music.

Contemporary dance is a free form of dance working with the natural alignment of the body, allowing greater fluidity of movement than conventional dance technques. It employs modern dance and ballet techniques with floor work and improvisation.
